Zhuoyu Gan
甘 卓 玉
Zhuoyu (Bobbi) Gan is an emerging arts and cultural professional based in Melbourne, with a background in both photography and arts management. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Photography) from RMIT University in 2023 and recently completed her Master of Arts and Cultural Management at the University of Melbourne in 2025.
Drawing from her lived experience growing up in China, Zhuoyu’s creative work explores themes of power, gender, and the social structures that shape everyday life. Her photographic practice often satirises or reflects on social issues, inviting viewers to pause and question what is often taken for granted.
Alongside her artistic practice, Zhuoyu has gained hands-on experience working in galleries, festivals, and museums in both Australia and China. She is passionate about curatorial work and committed to fostering meaningful cultural exchange through artistic practice.
