Zhuoyu Gan
甘 卓 玉

      Zhuoyu (Bobbi) Gan (b.2002) is a Naarm-based curator, photographer and arts manager working across contemporary art and cross-cultural exchange. She holds a Master of Arts and Cultural Management from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Arts in Photography from RMIT University.

      Trained in visual art, her photographic work explores themes of power, gender, and the social structures that shape everyday life, often drawing from her lived experience growing up in China. Her work has received the Centre for Contemporary Photography Award for Outstanding Folio, with pieces held in RMIT University’s Permanent Collection.

 

      Alongside her artistic practice, she has developed curatorial and exhibition experience across galleries and museums in both Australia and China. She is currently the Gallery Assistant at Helgoland, and has previously contributed to projects at ACAE Gallery, Blindside Gallery, Words For Art (Melbourne), Hunan Museum, and the Xie Zilong Photography Museum.
